A solar cell, or photovoltaic cell, is an electrical device that converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect. Generated DC (Direct Current) power is converted into AC (Alternating Current) power by an inverter. AC power is the kind of electrical that your television, computer, and toasters use when plugged into the wall outlet.
Hungary's climate is ideal for use of solar panels during all months of the year. The number of sunshine hours is between 1750 and 2050 hrs yearly. In 2012 this number hit a record with 2404 hrs, which is 124% of the average sum of many years. The most sun we get in July, with a total of 267 hrs, but in this year August was even stronger with its total 340 hrs.  We experience the least sunshine in December, but even in this period we do not have a reason to worry - your solar panels will not stop generating power!
